Troubleshooting - Barcode Scanner

Has the barcode scanner been set up/put into the correct mode?

To setup barcode scanner using these instructions instructions.
1. In tablet settings, is there a keyboard icon next to the Socket CHS [######]?
If so barcode scanner is NOT in the correct mode. The space to the left of the Socket CHS [######] should be empty. Perform the steps shown below.
2. If barcode is still not functioning after setup scan the below barcodes and listen for successful scans noted by beeps 
Factory Reset (If needed)
a. Turn the scanner on (you'll hear 2 beeps)
b. Scan above image to perform a factory reset
c. The scanner will play several tones and then will automatically turn off
d. Power barcode scanner back on
e. Scan the below two barcodes to get the scanner into the proper mode

After scanning the above barcodes carry on with the instructions of connecting scanner to tablet and Groovv Register application.

Has the barcode scanner ever worked?

The barcode scanner has gone into sleep mode, which occurs after five (5) minutes of inactivity or the tablet has been power cycled/gone to sleep. DO NOT PERFORM A FACTORY RESET. Follow the steps below to get the barcode scanner up and running again.
1. Power on the barcode scanner
2. Touch  button on the bottom of the tablet
3. Touch the  button on the bottom of the tablet
4. Swipe the Groovv Register app away leaving all other used apps available (if other apps were open)
5. Reopen Groovv Register app
6. Scan
Your barcode scanner may vibrate violently and result in the pop up when re-powering either the tablet or the barcode scanner. Select the Pair option and carry on as normal.

What error code are you receiving?

If you are receiving the error code below:
1. What happens when you select OK then touch the red barcode ()shown in app?
Barcode will disappear to attempt to establish new connection. If   doesn’t appear after approximately 5 seconds attempt to scan.
2. Is the barcode scanner on?
Blue light should be flashing
3. How fast is the barcode scanner flashing?
Should be approximately two seconds
4. Has barcode scanner been unpaired from the tablet?
Under paired devices you should see the symbol in the red box to the left of the Socket CHS [######].
If you see the keyboard image shown in blue to the left of the “Socket CHS [######]” the barcode scanner is not in the correct mode.
 
If you are receiving the error code below:
 
 
1. Select the Save then Test Scanner button
It is possible the Test Scanner button was pressed before there was ample time for the applications to truly save the settings
2. Is the barcode scanner on?
Blue light should be flashing
3. How fast is the barcode scanner flashing?
Should be approximately two seconds
4. Has barcode scanner been unpaired from the tablet?
Under paired devices you should see the symbol in the red box to the left of the Socket CHS [######].
If you see the keyboard image shown in blue to the left of the Socket CHS [######] the barcode scanner is not in the correct mode.
