Reports - Sales Report Functions

Click the Submit button to view the Sales Report. These reports include department sales, tender totals, and item sales. This page shows your reports in tables, and also shows the department sales and item sales in pie charts.
 
 
The first report that is listed is the Department Sales report:
This report displays the department name, number of transactions, quantity, and amount. This report is shown as a table, as well as a pie chart. An example Department Sales report is shown at the top of the following page.
 
 
Dept. Name: Shows the name of every department that was included in a sale during the provided time range (unless show zero line items is selected)
# of Trans.: Shows the number of transactions that occurred within the listed department.
Quantity: This column shows the number of items that were sold within the listed department.
Amount: This column shows the total dollar amount of items sold within the listed department.
 
At the bottom of the table, you will find the row that shows the totals for each of the columns.
 
To the right of the table, there is a pie chart that shows the Department Sales by percentage of total sales. Each wedge is labeled by a color that is associated with a department.
 
For a list of the color and department association, view the chart key to the right of the pie chart. You can also use your mouse to hover over a wedge and the department and percentage associated with that wedge (as shown above.)
 
The second report that is listed is the Tender Totals report:
This report displays the transaction type, number of transactions, and amount. This report is shown as a table. An example Tender Totals report is shown at the top of the following page.
 
 
Trans. Type: Shows all of the types of transaction media that were used during the provided time range.
of Trans.: Shows the number of transactions that occurred within the listed transaction type.
Amount: Shows the total dollar amount of items sold within the listed transaction type.
 
At the bottom of the table, you will find the row that shows the total number of successful transactions and average transaction amount.
 
The third report that is listed is the Item Sales report:
This report displays the description, number of transactions, quantity, and amount. This report is shown as a table, as well as a pie chart. An example of this report is shown below.
 
 
Description: Shows the name of every item that was sold during the provided time range (unless show zero line items is selected)
of Trans.: Shows the number of transactions that occurred that include the listed item.
Quantity: Shows how many of the listed items were sold.
Amount: Shows the total dollar amount sold for the listed item.

Exporting the Sales Report
Located above the Sales Report, directly under the ‘Submit’ button, there is a small icon that will allow you to export your full Sales Report as a .csv file. This file format can be read by most spreadsheet-building programs, like Microsoft Excel.
