Troubleshooting the cash drawer

1. Is cash drawer telephone cord plugged into the printer?
a. If not, plug cord into back of device. (On printer, connection closest to power plug)
2. Does device open?
a. If not, use key to open cash drawer
b. If key does not work to open cash, use switch underneath cash drawer while leaning it forward to open cash drawer (*This switch is only found on some cash drawers)
 
In application troubleshooting (Wired Setup)
In Groovv Application, touch Register Options Menu  > Settings > Devices
1. Select Drawer Code
a. Enter: 16,20,1,0,5
b. Scroll to bottom, select Save
2. Scroll down and ensure Send Drawer Open Command checkbox is selected
a. Scroll to bottom, select Save
3. Run test transaction
a. Cash drawer will open when Cash tender option is entered.
 
In application troubleshooting (Bluetooth Setup)
In Groovv Application, touch Register Options Menu  > Settings > Devices
1. Model Name:
a. Make sure Bixolon 350ii - Bluetooth is selected
2. Drawer Code:
a. Make sure 16,20,1,0,5,15,10 is entered as the code
b. Scroll to bottom, select Save
3. Scroll down and ensure Send Drawer Open Command check-box is selected
a. Scroll to bottom, select Save
4. Run test transaction
a. Cash drawer will open when Cash tender option is selected

Receipts are Printing, but the Drawer is not Popping Open

1. Check the Drawer Cable
i. There are labels indicating which end of the cord, plug in to the Drawer and Printer.
ii. Make sure it is plugged into the correct port on the printer.
2. Power Off, the Tablet
a. Wait 10 seconds, then power it back on.
4. Touch to open the Groovv Register App
5. Run test cash transaction
6. If the receipt prints, but the drawer still does not pop open:
          i. Clear Data for the Groovv Register App from within the Tablet Settings, under Apps
ii. Reopen the app and log in
iii. Repeat the Steps listed in the section above this one titled: 'In application troubleshooting (Bluetooth Setup)'
